Empowering Children Through Education

Supporting vulnerable children and conflict survivors with the tools to thrive

At the Diar Foundation, we believe education is a powerful tool for change. We focus on reaching vulnerable children—especially girls and survivors of war and conflict—ensuring they access safe and inclusive education.

Working hand in hand with local schools, we’ve established Child Help Desks and trained Focal Teachers to guide and support students.

Child Help Desk Services in Schools and Community Centers

Child Help Desks are safe, supportive spaces where children can seek help, report abuse, and access psychosocial support. These desks are essential in promoting child protection and well-being, especially in conflict-affected or vulnerable communities.

In Schools:
Operated by trained Focal Teachers, school-based help desks provide counseling, monitor vulnerable students, and link children to services. They also raise awareness on children’s rights and offer peer support programs to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

In Community Centers:
Community-based help desks support out-of-school and at-risk children through drop-in counseling, emergency response, family support, and referrals. They also engage the community in strengthening local protection systems.

Together, these desks play a vital role in protecting children, promoting mental health, and ensuring they have the support needed to thrive in both educational and community settings.
